Rocktober

The month of October is jam-packed with new albums from awesome bands. Here's a calendar for those about to rock....

September 15- Ace Frehley (!) is releasing his first album in 20 years, entitled Anomoly. I am super stoked about this, as Ace is my favorite member of the original KISS line-up. The lead single "Outer Space" is heavy, gnarly, and catchy. I hope the whole album lives up to this.

October 9th- Australian band Wolfmother will release it's new album Cosmic Egg. The band is minus two original members, but if the singles released thus far are any indication, this release doesn't stray far from Wolfmother's enjoyable classic rock formula.

October 19th- Fu Manchu (!) is releasing it's 11th (?) studio album Signs of Infinite Power. With an album title like that and the band's reputation for always delivering the heavy goods, this is record very likely to punch listeners in the gut (in a good way). Some song titles: " Webfoot/Witch hat" and "Steel Beast Defeated". Hell yeah.

October 27- Saviours Accelerated Living. This is a straight up heavy metal band, the last two records rocked like the 1990s never happened, the band delivering excellent two pronged hesher rock for our listening enjoyment. Looking forward to this release.

In addition, the debut album from Shrinebuilder is coming sometime in October. This is a heavy rock supergroup featuring members of these excellent bands: Sleep, Saint Vitus, The Melvins and Nuerosis. Something tells me that this release is going to shred. Check out the awesome cover art here

Also, before the end of the year, we are likely to see new releases from Brant Bjork and the Bros and Early Man (!) so lots of bitchin' listening parties coming up.
